Individual, Dual, and Friend Members

In this talk, senior curatorial assistant Christie Mitchell will speak about the process of organizing and installing the Whitney’s monumental Warhol exhibition. The first Warhol retrospective organized by a U.S. institution since 1989, Andy Warhol—From A to B and Back Again is also the largest monographic exhibition presented at the downtown Whitney to date. As part of the Warhol curatorial team, Mitchell was involved in every phase of the project from coordinating with lenders and laying out the floor plan to working with colleagues in a variety of departments to install more than 350 works of art. By highlighting key milestones in the planning and installation process, this talk will provide an insider view into various facets of curatorial work.

Individual, Dual, and Friend members are invited to this event. For Individual members, the invitation is for one and for Dual and Friend members, the invitation is for two. To join, call (212) 570-3641.
