High school students in grades 9–12
Teen Open Studio returns virtually this fall! Teens are invited to a free art-making program on Zoom with Whitney educators. Each week, teens will experiment, create, and learn together with at-home art materials inspired by the Whitney’s collection. Tell a friend and join us!
In this session, Good Trouble, inspired by Working Together: The Photographers of the Kamoinge Workshop, we’ll consider social justice movements and the 2020 election. Teens will learn about the Kamoinge Workshop, a collective of Black photographers established in New York City in 1963. They will then create vision boards for the years 2021–25 that explore personal goals through text and images.
No previous art experience is required—everyone is welcome. Registration is required.
